AD* | Public relations expert Lexi Harlow is the queen of getting her clients out of sticky situations. But can she do it for herself?

After an incendiary breakup (setting fire to her cheating boyfriend’s pants), Lexi decides to play the field for the first time in her life. Two suitors are vying for her affections: New York’s most eligible bachelor and pro quarterback Jake Frost, and sports agent Kyle Caruso. But when the athlete hires the agent, and both enlist her services to take care of public relations, well…

There’s only one way Lexi can get out of this love triangle before everything blows up in her face: choose one.

But when the candle she’s burning at both ends meets in the middle, the choice is no longer hers.

The Love Triangle by Nic Tatano is another book I hoped to read back in 2017 but never got round to reading. I'm determined to slowly get through my backlog and catch up on all the books I've missed over the last few years!

This is a fun, romantic, and - for the most part - a contemporary, light-hearted read. The story centres around Lexi, an outgoing, fearless PR professional who soon finds herself stuck between two suitors. Both men seem to be perfect on paper, and the book follows her agonising choice between the two.

The Love Triangle is a quick, fun read, but I felt that the characters lacked depth and at times, weren't particularly engaging. Personalities seemed to randomly flip out of the blue and some of the settings and scenarios seemed a little too far-fetched to be realistically believable. Plus, don't even get me started on Chandler, Lexi's assistant. As a Brit, I think I'm fairly well qualified to say that we don't all talk like we've just stepped straight out of the Victorian era!

However, suspend your disbelief and you're left with a fun romance novel with a dash of humour and an important message to take away with you (which I won't spoil, you'll have to read the book to find out more!)

Fast-paced and entertaining to read, The Love Triangle provides a great escape from reality and would be a perfect summer beach read.
