My blog has been named as one of the top blogs by GetBlogged.net

The Writing Greyhound is a PR-friendly blog and I am always open to exciting new opportunities and collaborations.

I am happy to take review requests and often work with a variety of brands, authors and publishers. I was also shortlisted for the Blogger's Book Prize 2021 with NB Magazine!

Book Review Policy

The Writing Greyhound operates an honest, unbiased book review policy at all times. I always give my truthful opinion about a book and will write a review for every book I am sent for review purposes, from five-star favourites to one-star disappointments. If you are an author or publisher only looking for positive reviews, we won't make a good fit for one another. Many other book bloggers only share positive reviews of books they have enjoyed reading - The Writing Greyhound is not one of these blogs. However, if you are interested in receiving an honest review of your book, good or bad, please read on.

Please note that I do not read or review the following genres:

  • Horror
  • Humour
  • Satire
  • Picture books
  • Novellas
  • Religious
  • Steampunk
  • Essays
  • Erotica
  • Political
  • Self-help

I also only read/review physical books and e-books, not audiobooks.

On the other hand, these are my favourite genres to read and review. If your book falls into one or more of these categories, I am far more likely to accept your request:

  • Young adult (YA)
  • New adult (NA)
  • Urban fantasy
  • Historical
  • Dual-timeline/timeslip

A Handy Guide to The Writing Greyhound's Book Review Ratings

I read and review every book based on its own merits before assigning it a star rating. Here's a quick rundown of what each of my star ratings means:

  • One star - I strongly disliked the book
  • Two stars - I didn't enjoy the book
  • Three stars - I enjoyed the book but it didn't stand out
  • Four stars - I really enjoyed the book
  • Five stars - I loved the book!
You can also check out my list of all-time favourite books to get a flavour of those I most enjoy.

Hopefully, this guide will prove helpful to both readers and authors stopping by the blog!

I also support indie authors and am more than happy to review good-quality self-published books as well as traditionally published novels. Please note that I am highly unlikely to read or review a book from a series unless I have previously read and enjoyed the rest of the series to date.

If you think that your book is a good fit for me, please get in touch with more information.

Please note - I receive many review requests every day and cannot physically review every book offered to me. If you clearly haven't read my review guidelines or you send me a generic or unnamed request, please don't expect a reply to your message.
