Crime and Mystery with My Chronicle Book Box

My chronicle book box unboxing

AD* | In case you haven't been keeping up to date with my social media, I'm absolutely over the moon to be a Feb/March brand rep for the fantastic My Chronicle Book Box. I'm a big fan of all things bookish, so having the opportunity to champion such a great book subscription box is perfect for me - and for The Writing Greyhound!

Today I'm going to be taking you through the February box and sharing some of the wonderful treats the box had in store! Keep on reading to join me as I delve into the box, the books, and the brand.

Mystery impossible candle

My Chronicle Book Box has been bringing joy to readers around the world since 2017. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, expanding into new genres and partnering with some big-name brands, authors, and publishers to continually deliver quality content in each box.

Depending on whether you opt for a monthly or quarterly subscription box, you are guaranteed to get exclusive content tailored to your preferred genre. Each box contains at least one hand-picked novel (often signed or with exciting author exclusives) alongside a whole host of bookish goodies centred around a particular theme.

When February's monthly crime box landed on my doormat, I was super excited to unbox the contents and discover what treats were awaiting me. The box's theme was 'perfectly impossible' - an intriguing theme which fitted the chosen book excellently.

Each box is carefully put together and presented to perfection. Books are wrapped in colourful craft paper and finished with a hand-tied bow. The bookish goodies are packed with love and care, and the whole box speaks volumes about the brand's quality and sheer passion for books.
My box contained a gorgeous hardback copy of Haven't They Grown by bestselling author Sophie Hannah - signed by the author, no less. I was instantly hooked by the blurb and can't wait for a chance to get stuck into the book! Also included was an exclusive promotional bookmark from the publisher and a personal message from the author.

Alongside the book, I found a great selection of bookish treats in the box. First up was a fun pair of postcards inspired by our favourite fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes. Paying homage to the traditional Holmes as well as the more modern adaptation portrayed in BBC's Sherlock, these make a great addition to my study.

Continuing the theme of great fictional detectives, the box also contained an art deco-inspired pocket mirror featuring a quote from Poirot, one of Agatha Christie's finest creations. Last but certainly not least, the box was completed with a bespoke literary candle from Bookworm Candles and Crafts. Named 'Mystery Impossible' in homage to the overarching theme of the box, this candle pairs a fresh, citrus scent with a classic roaring '20s design.

I was highly impressed with the variety of top-quality products offered in the subscription box I received. I'm excited to keep sharing the literary love and spreading the word about this gem of a brand!
